Jiang's creation has become one of the most widely practiced combined styles in the world today. His journey into martial arts began as a student of his father, Jiang Fatai, who taught him the Shaolin Kung Fu art of Mizongquan. Seeking to refine his skills further, he became a formal student of Zhang Zhaodong, an esteemed master who had studied with both Dong Haichuan, the founder of Baguazhang, and Guo Yunshen, known for his expertise in Xingyiquan.
